This Veteran's Day we honor all of those who have served. Who you are really makes a difference to the community and to the world. Share in worship, prayer, and honor with Lead Pastor David Brown. Today is a special concert series featuring special patriotic music throughout with the River’s Edge Brass Band, the Viva Voices Choir, and Armstrong’s Chancel Choir accompanied by Stacy Haney on the organ and piano. We will begin with the Presentation of Colors by Andy D., Liturgist Jay D., Children's Moments with Dianna Sheely.

Special Music:

Conductor Kevin Michael Holzman serves as the Director of Wind Studies and Head of the Division of Ensembles and Conducting at CCM, where he also holds the positions of music director for the CCM Wind Symphony (CCM’s premier large wind ensemble), the CCM Chamber Orchestra, and the CCM Chamber Winds, in addition to overseeing the CCM Wind Ensemble and CCM Brass Choir. In 2019, Holzman was appointed Music Director and Chief Guest Conductor of the Beijing Wind Orchestra, China’s premier wind ensemble. Holzman earned his Doctor of Musical Arts degree in conducting at the Eastman School of Music, where he studied with Music Director of the Eastman Wind Ensemble, Mark Scatterday.

Viva Voices Choir

Tony Burdette is the founding Artistic Director and President of the Viva Voices Choral Organization. Previously, he served as Artistic Director of Voices of the Commonwealth, Associate Conductor for the Lebanon Symphony Orchestra & Chorus, student conductor of the Alderson-Broaddus College choirs, and as the conductor of adult and children’s church choirs for over 20 years. An accomplished conductor, Tony has led choirs and orchestras in many major works and innovative programs. He has directed honor choirs and is sought out as an adjudicator. Recently, Tony participated in a conducting mentorship program in New York City with Dr. Craig Jessop, former conductor of the Mormon Tabernacle Choir. An accomplished tenor vocalist, Tony has performed as a concert soloist with many orchestras and choral organizations around the country. In January 2016, Tony made his solo debut in Carnegie Hall in New York City
