Honoring all Veterans

As Veterans Day draws near, we at Armstrong Chapel are eager to recognize and honor those who have selflessly served our country. It has been quite some time since we updated our list of Veterans within our congregation, and your participation would mean the world to us. If you have not yet completed the online form, we kindly ask you to jot down a note on the back of your attendance card to indicate if you are a Veteran. Feel free to include details such as your branch of service, years served, any honors received, or any other significant information you'd like to share about your service. Your contribution will allow us to commemorate your dedication and sacrifice this Veterans Day.

Join us in supporting and uplifting those serving in the military with Armstrong connections! Your prayers can make a difference in the lives of our loved ones who are bravely defending our country. If you have a family member related to Armstrong that you would like to include in our prayer list, we encourage you to share their names with us by writing a note on the back of your attendance card, directly on our post, or email Joy by hitting the button below. Together, we can send positive energy and support to those who selflessly serve our nation. Let's stand strong in unity and prayer for our military members with Armstrong connections.

It’s “The Most Wonderful Time of the Year…” Not Christmas in July, but Vacation Bible School!

Often, it’s the hottest and rainiest week of the summer, you will need a nap every day, it takes months to get the songs out of your head, but there is something wonderful and special about Vacation Bible School, from building the sets to being a volunteer during that week.

Armstrong's VBS is kicking off July 13, this four day experience for 150 kids!

We are embarking on an unforgettable journey of faith and adventure for the 2025 Vacation Bible School expedition, True North! Our promising Alaskan escapade needs your help to make this experience unforgettable! VBS provides both an immediate experience that is fun, special, and meaningful, and it is a point of memory. I am sure everyone remembers the themes and the songs of all those past years because they have stuck with me.

It takes a team to help Karen's vision come to life, and if you would like to get involved, now is the time!  She and her team are already busy getting the decorations ready with only a few weeks away.

Make a difference by helping unveil Jesus as the unwavering compass, guiding us to truth. We need Volunteers to help create and set-up. There is a space for everyone – from collating needed materials to painting and crafting set design! Take a look at the slots available to come in and help with VBS prep and see where you can plug in.

Thinking about it, Vacation Bible School gives us a different model for how to do and to be the church. It involves extra planning and excitement, special and focused time on the essentials of faith, the opportunity to learn the same lesson in various ways, through song, movement, storytelling, art, and games. Through VBS, faith and friendships grow. Children and leaders want to come back for more.

If you are involved in VBS this summer, thank you. Your time and effort is making a difference in forming and shaping followers of Jesus!
