Divine Calling

Date:1/18/26

Speaker: David Brown

WELCOME — WE ARE GLAD YOU ARE HERE!

This Sunday at Armstrong Chapel, we gather to listen for God’s voice in worship as we reflect on the message “Divine Calling,” inspired by Psalm 40:1–5. This psalm speaks to the faithfulness of a God who hears us when we cry out, lifts us when we feel stuck, and places a new song in our hearts—a song meant to be shared with the world.

As we worship together, we’ll consider how God calls us not only in moments of clarity, but also through seasons of waiting, uncertainty, and trust. Divine Calling invites us to pay attention to where God has been faithful in our lives and how that faithfulness shapes the way we respond, serve, and live out our faith.

Through prayer, Scripture, and music, we’ll open ourselves to God’s leading and reflect on what it means to say yes when God calls—wherever that call may lead.

Our worship will be supported by songs that speak to faith, surrender, and trust, including Christ for the World We Sing, Through It All, and Here I Am, Lord, as we lift our voices together in praise and commitment.

Whether you’re worshiping in person or joining us online, may this time draw you deeper into God’s cleansing grace and the renewing work of the Holy Spirit. Thank you for sharing in worship today!
