The Game Plan
Today, the congregation gathers together to gather in time of worship and prayer, humbly offering their gratitude to the Almighty. As Lead Pastor, Rev. David Brown, will share an impactful message centered on the theme of The Game Plan.
1 Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, 2 through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. And we boast in the hope of the glory of God. 3 Not only so, but we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; 4 perseverance, character; and character, hope. 5 And hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us.
Romans 5:1-5
The service will be accentuated by the beautiful, uplifting and soulful sounds of music by the talented Braden Perry and Stacy Haney on the organ and piano. Together, the faithful will lift their hearts in timeless hymns of worship, including the beloved United Methodist hymns Come, Thou Almighty King, How Great Thou Art and My Hope Is Built. Then the children of the congregation will also have their moment to shine, as the Children's Sunday School Program presents a special Children's Moment exploring the depths of faith. Undergirding the service is the steadfast devotion of liturgist, Victoria Rhodus, who will lead the congregation in the Call to Worship and guide them through the appointed scripture passages. This multi-faceted celebration of praise and reverence will undoubtedly fill the hearts of all in attendance with a profound sense of gratitude and connection to the divine.
12 “I have many more things to say to you, but you cannot bear them now. 13 But when, the Spirit of Truth, comes, the Spirit will guide you into all the truth. For the Spirit will not speak on His own initiative, but He will speak whatever He hears from the Father—the message regarding the Son, and He will disclose to you what is to come.
John 16:12-13
