Honoring a Name
WELCOME — WE ARE GLAD YOU ARE HERE!
This Sunday at Armstrong Chapel: Enter this sacred season with us as we begin Advent in hope, anticipation, and worship.
“The hour has come… the night is far gone; the day is at hand.”
— Romans 13:11–12 (ESV)
As we gather on this first Sunday of Advent, we turn our hearts toward the One whose name is above every name. Advent invites us to awaken, to watch, and to honor the name of Jesus — the Light who breaks into our darkness and the Savior who draws us into newness of life.
Join us as Rev. David Brown begins our Advent series by exploring what it means to honor His name and to live as people ready for Christ’s coming. Romans 13:11–14 reminds us that now is the moment to step into the light, to put on Christ, and to prepare our hearts for His presence.
Our worship will be enriched by the ministry of the Armstrong Chancel Choir, with music led by Stacy Haney on organ and piano. Together, we’ll lift our voices as we begin this holy season with reverence and joy.
