Hearing from Prison
WELCOME — WE ARE GLAD YOU ARE HERE!
This Sunday, we continue our Advent series, “And His Name Shall Be Called,” as we enter the Third Week of Advent and reflect on the message “Hearing from Prison.” Drawing from Matthew 11:2–6, we encounter John the Baptist—waiting, questioning, and listening from a place of confinement—and are reminded that even in seasons of uncertainty or limitation, Christ still speaks words of hope, assurance, and truth.
As we light the third candle of Advent, we turn our attention to the ways God meets us in our doubts and struggles. Through Scripture, worship, and reflection, we’ll explore how Jesus responds with compassion and clarity, inviting us to see, hear, and trust the signs of God’s kingdom breaking into the world around us.
Join us for a meaningful time of worship as Rev. David Brown shares a message of hope and encouragement for this season of preparation, reminding us that Christ comes to bring good news—especially to those waiting and longing for light.
Worship will be beautifully enriched by a special Christmas presentation from the Armstrong Bell Choir, along with the faithful leadership of Stacy Haney on organ and piano. Together, we’ll lift our hearts in joyful expectation as we continue our journey toward Christmas.
