Throughout the year, the Armstrong Bell Choir and special music performances further enrich worship with meaningful and inspiring musical moments.
Armstrong Chancel Choir
Led by Ben Basone
The Chancel Choir is a delightful group that adds beauty to our 9:40 worship hour. Led by Ben Basone and accompanied by Stacy Haney on the organ and piano, the choir gathers on Thursday evenings at 7:30 from September through May to harmonize and prepare for their performances.
During the summer months, the choir takes a seasonal break but reunites for special performances. Throughout this time, Ben highlights soloists and special music, whose dedication and passion shine through every note, creating truly uplifting worship experiences.
Armstrong Bell Choir
A Joyful Ring of Faith and Fellowship
Handbells have long held a treasured place in Christian worship, their clear and resonant tones adding beauty and reverence to the church’s musical tradition. Especially meaningful during seasons like Christmas and Easter, the distinctive sound of handbells invites worshippers into moments of awe and reflection. A bell choir also reflects the unity of the church itself—each ringer contributes a single voice, yet together they create something rich, balanced, and whole, reminding us that every gift matters in the body of Christ.
At Armstrong, our Handbell Choir shares the inspiring sound of five octaves of Schulmerich handbells during the 9:40 a.m. worship service throughout the traditional school year. We invite you to experience this enchanting ministry—and to consider joining it. We are currently seeking ringers and substitute ringers; those interested are encouraged to contact our Director, Chester Imhausen.
