Psalm 32
Wilderness Prayers

Welcome — we’re glad you’re sharing in worship.

This week, the first week of Lent, we reflect on “Wilderness Prayers,” grounded in Psalm 32:6–8. In this passage, we hear the invitation to seek the Lord while He may be found, to find refuge in His mercy, and to trust His promise: “I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go.”

Something to think and pray about each day this week comes from Sacred Spaces, pages 9–11.

These pages invite us into a daily rhythm of prayer: becoming aware of The Presence of God, asking for Freedom, reflecting with Consciousness, listening to The Word, entering into Conversation with God, and ending in Conclusion. This gentle pattern reminds us that prayer is not simply something we do, but a way of opening our hearts to God’s transforming work within us.

At the center of this journey is conversion—a change of mind, heart, and even life itself. True conversion asks us to let go of old ways of thinking and living so that God can shape us more fully. At times this change may feel costly, even challenging us to surrender parts of ourselves we hold tightly.

Yet conversion does not take happiness away from us. Instead, it leads us toward the deep fulfillment God desires for every human life. True happiness is rooted in holiness. Our hearts long for the healing and hope that holiness brings, because holiness is not about perfection—it is about becoming the people God created us to be.

As you pray through these pages this week, ask God to guide your heart, renew your mind, and lead you more deeply into the life and joy found in Him.

Seasons of wilderness can come in many forms — uncertainty, waiting, struggle, or spiritual dryness. Yet Scripture reminds us that these spaces are not empty; they are places where God meets us, surrounds us with grace, and gently guides our next steps. Through prayer, confession, and trust, we discover that God is both our hiding place and our faithful guide.

Rev. David Brown shares a message of hope and assurance, encouraging us to bring our whole selves before God and to listen for His voice in the quiet places of the journey.

Whether you are in a season of clarity or wandering, may this time of worship draw you closer to God’s presence and renew your trust in His faithful leading.
