Friday, April 12 @ 11:30am.
Carpool from the Church at 11:15

Located just 5 minutes from the church (7501 Wooster Pike), May We Help partners with families, therapists, and other caregivers to design, develop and fabricate tailor-made devices that enable individuals with disabilities to pursue their passions and gain a new level of independence.  With the help of our skilled volunteers, they deliver these solutions at no cost!  May We Help creates assistive devices for those who refuse to let disabilities define what they are capable of doing.   Check out their website at

Before touring the May We Help facility, we will have box lunches from Panera – cost $10, please note ham or turkey.

Face to Face - An adaptation of The Walk to Emmaus, Face to Face is specifically crafted to meet the needs older adults who do not want or are unable to spend the night. The program seeks to invite men and women, ages 60 and older, to experience Jesus through a journey, covering subjects such as discipleship, mission, grief, and end-of-life issues. Face to Face gives seniors the opportunity to rediscover Christ’s presence in their lives, to gain fresh understanding of God’s transforming grace and to form friendships that foster their faith after the Face to Face experience.  For more information on Face to Face at St. Paul UMC (Madeira), visit us online

The next event will be 4/29, 5/1, 4 and 6 from 9am-3:30pm.

Roots and wings (Parents of grown Children)

A community fellowship  for parents of grown or nearly grown children.

What We're About:  Whether your "kids" are college-bound, starting careers, or have spouses and families of their own, this group is for you! Great social events, opportunities to connect with others walking the same path, friendship, support, and even service opportunities!  Both singles and couples are welcome, as are both members of the church, and friends in the community!

Is This Group for Me?  We understand and celebrate that while we all may be "empty nesters", with our kids still rooted in the family, yet spreading their wings and flying, we may not all be in the same place along the journey.  Looking for an excuse to get out of the house and enjoy fun with friends in the same stage of life as you?  Struggling to adapt to your new empty nest?  Unsure how to best stay connected to your kids when they have families of their own? Looking for the support of a small group?  We invite you to pick and choose those opportunities that resonate with you to participate in!

When and Where Will Roots & Wings Meet?  Roots & Wings will typically meet the SECOND SATURDAY of each month, so you can set that date aside on your calendars.  There may be the occasional exception to the second Saturday rule for special events.

Saturday, April 13: Crazy Cards…7:00pm in the Atrium

Enjoy a few rounds of Crazy Cards (no experience necessary) [This event was postponed from bad weather in January].  Please bring an appetizer, snack or dessert to share, and feel free to bring your friends as well!

SUPPORT GROUP - Monday, April 22 at 7:00pm in the  Armstrong Room

We will meet to offer the support for the parents of adult children  who are trying to maintain a loving relationship with their adult kids.  As much as we want to let go so they can fly high, we like to be part of their lives too. Learn how to trust God and find our boundaries, and how to pray for our children to follow God’s path.  To sign-up, email Dianna at .
