Music Mission Statement

"To faithfully support the Mission and Vision of ACUMC, the musical ministry program involves professional and non-professional musicians who, as participants, are dedicated to lead and inspire the congregation in the order of service through the life enriching qualities of musical praise and Christian worship".

Chancel Choir
The Chancel Choir meets regularly September through June on Thursday nights at 7:30 in the Choir Room preparing music for the 9:40 traditional service. There is always room for more singers and there are many opportunities throughout the year to be involved in special music with various ensembles. Handbell Choir
The Handbell Choir rehearses on Thursday nights at 6:15 and plays many times through the year. There is always room for more ringers, with or without experience. If you know how to count, we can teach you how to ring. Contact Stacy Haney at 232-2141 for more information.

Infused
The Infused Praise Team, consisting of singers & musicians who have a heart's desire to lead others in worship, assists in the 11:11 a.m. Contemporary Worship service.  A variety of ages, talent-levels, and instruments are blended into a team of worship leaders for the congregation. They rehearse on Tuesday evenings from 6:00-8:15 p.m. in the Sanctuary. Anyone with a desire to seek God through worship while participating in a band setting is welcome to join. Children’s Choir / WOW! Wednesday!

It is our desire to expose children to praising and worshiping the Lord through the arts at the earliest possible age.  WOW! Wednesday! is designed to help develop talents, while teaching valuable life lessons, presenting the gospel and preparing for musical dramas and performances throughout the year.

 

 

WHY WEDNESDAY?  There is a real value in mid-week Christian education.  It teaches that our spirituality is not separate from our daily activities. Remember, we make time in our lives for those things which count.  Our growth as children of God certainly needs to be a priority for all of us.!

 

Wee Praise

For children age 4 through kindergarten.

Kids Praise!

For students who are currently in the 1st through 4th grade.

 X-Treme Praise!

For students in grade 6-12,  X-Treme Praise is designed for those students who are interested in exploring worship music and drama through small ensembles, solos and instruments in a variety of styles and experiences.  Develop your talents, make new friends, and grow spiritually!  X-Treme Praise performs throughout the year.
